HERE AND THERE.
O glad is youth with the brow of Helen, The mouth where Lalage's kisses cleave;O fair is the lovely world to dwell in, Fair to dwell in, and fair to leave!
Blest, blest the years when a baby's laughter Fills with music the flying day,And passionate yearnings go trembling after The rosy flame in that fragile clay.
Delicious life! But when death shall capture Soul and sense from its yielding years,Dearer that hour whose bursting rapture Gives us the freedom of the spheres!
