LULLABY
Sleep, weary world,Welcome the night,Bid labor fleeWith day's harsh light;Far-away worldsGleaming watch keep;Silence enwraps,All things sleep.
Sleep, little flower,Fold each small leaf,Darkness protectsFrom sudden grief;Heaven's soft dewsCool earth's parched breast.Fragrantly bathe; All things rest.
Sleep, tired heart,Lay down thy cross, Let go of care,Sorrow and loss;Wand'ring night-windsTuneful watch keep;Slow sway the trees,All things sleep.
