AUTUMN FLOWERS.
Pale autumn flowers! I love ye well, Though a tale of sadness ye bring; Yes, dearer to me are these autumn flowers Than the first fair buds of spring.
I love ye! for ye are the last That blooms 'neath a northern sky,—The last that adorns the grave of one, Who was early doomed to die.
