I SHALL THINK OF THEE.
I shall think of thee at morning, When the birds sing loud and free, And the carol of their pleasant tones Will mind me oft of thee.
I shall think of thee at noontide, When the sun shines bright and high The language of thy gentle voice, And of thy soft, dark eye.
I shall think of thee at spring-time, When the flowers bud and bloom, And shed abroad their fragrance rare, With beauty and perfume.
And when July's hot, sultry sky Shall mind me spring is past, I'll think, like thy affection, 'T was bright, but could not last.
