A DREAM-GARDEN.
Will you come one day to see meIn my House of Dream?I'll light the way before youWith a rainbow gleam.
You'll see the cloud-walled gardenWhere my lilies grow,And count the sunflowers swayingIn a golden row.
The south wind blows the rose leavesBefore the sun,In a cloud of crimson sweetnessWhen day is done.
And the stars come out a-flutterLike moths white-wingedAmong my apple branchesAll flame be-ringed.
Flame-fair the apples shimmerAnd change and glow,And nowhere but in cloud-landSuch apples grow.
O come and see my gardenAnd my House of Dream,I'll light the way before youWith a rainbow-gleam.
