I have to report for your information to the Superintendent of Police that in the night of the 13th instant the Brig Geffrard lying at Quindalup nearly loaded with timber for Adelaide went on shore. She parted one chain and (illegible text) one (illegible text) of the (illegible text) broke. She is now nearly full of water (illegible text) Capt Munday has informed me to day that she is quite a wreck that her stern post is nocked up and now lying beneath her.
