Blanche Kingsmore (1867-?) was married to Richard Barnsley Patterson Jr. (1865-1930). She disappeared in 1892 in Manhattan after a family argument. Her body was never found, it still is not clear if she had been murdered, or if she ran off to be with someone else. She is referred to as Blanche Patterson, her married name, in most documents.

- She disappears in 1892. "After endeavoring through every available channel to learn the whereabouts of his mother, from whom he has been separated for fifteen years, John J. Patterson, 22 years, of 117 North Tenth street, has asked The Inquirer to try, through its columns, to locate the missing parent. Mother and son became separated in New York city in 1892 as the result of a family quarrel. Since that time the young man has been trying to find his mother and thereby reestablish the old home. Mrs. Patterson would now be forty years of age. Her maiden name was Blanche Kingsmore."
