His death. "Bellport, New York. David A Duryea, 84, who for more than 60 years served as gardener on estates in this vicinity died Monday at his home on New Jersey Avenue. A life long resident of this village he leaves his widow, Mrs. Sarah Ward Duryea, a sister Mrs. Clara A. Lucas both of Bellport and several nieces and nephews."
Death of his mother. "Mrs. Hannah Duryea, 96 years old, one of the oldest colored residents of Long Island, died at her home in North Bellport Wednesday. She was a native of Moriches, Long Island, and lived in that vicinity all her life. Mr. Duryea was a widow many years."
