Dewey Ernest Lattin I (1898-1985) lived in Cuba from 1909 through 1915. He served in the United States Army during World War I. He later was a milkman for the Borden Milk Company. (b. September 16, 1898; Farmingdale, Nassau County, Long Island, New York, 11735, USA - d. February 13, 1985; Lake Helen, Volusia County, Florida, 32744, USA) Military Service Number 370066.

His death. "Funeral service for Dewey Ernest Lattin, 86, 195 Daniel Street, Lake Helen, who died Wednesday, February 13, will be Saturday, February 16, at 10 a.m. in the Chapel of Memories, DeLand, with the Rev. John Odhner, officiating. Mr. Lattin was a retired milkman with Bordens for 37 years, an Army veteran of World War I, and a member of the American Legion, Lake Helen Survivors include his widow, Elizabeth, two sons, Lee Henry Lattin, Mount Vernon, New York, and Leonard Lattin, Lake Helen; seven grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren. Burial will be in DeLand Memorial Gardens. Lankford Funeral Home, DeLand, is in charge of arrangements."
Death of his father. "Mr. Lattin, who was 87 was born in a house on the site of the present Stern Pickle Company, and for many years conducted a pickle business there. He is survived by five daughters and two sons, Theodore Lattin, of Silver Beach, New York; and Dewey Lattin, of the Bronx …"
Returning from Cuba. "Dewey Lattin, of the Isle of Pines, Cuba, has taken up his residence in Farmingdale, He was formerly a resident here and has relatives in the village."
