Jacob Lindauer (1862-1948) was a barber who migrated to the United States from Schönaich, Böblingen, Baden-Württemberg, Germany. He was a member of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows fraternal organization. (b. June 21, 1862; Schönaich, Böblingen, Baden-Württemberg, Germany - d. July 11, 1948; Brooklyn, New York City, New York, USA)

"Funeral services for Jacob Lindauer, 86, who for many years had operated a barber shop on Summit St. near Columbia St. will be held at 8 o'clock tonight at his home 173 Windsor Place. The Rev. Werner Jentech, pastor of St. John's Lutheran Church, Prospect Avenue, near 5th Avenue, will officiate. Interment will be in Cypress Hills Abbey. Mr. Lindauer who came to this country from Germany as a youth died Sunday. He was a member of the Foresters Odd Fellows and a number of other organizations. His wife Elizabeth died in 1934 and a daughter Mina A. Lindauer died in 1941. Two nephews and four nieces survive."
