"John Hammelbacher, 61, died today after a short illness at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Mary Bartolone, 636 N. Third street, in Hammonton. A former resident of Egg Harbor, residing at 412 St. Louis avenue, Hammelbacher had been with his daughter for about five months. He is survived by his wife, Leona; three sons, John of Egg Harbor, Sgt. Richard of the Marine Corps in Quantico, Virginia, and Seaman First Class Robert of the Philadelphia Navy Yard, Mrs. Bartolone; one grandchild; and his mother, Mrs. Margaret Hammelbacher, of Pleasantville. Funeral services will be held Friday morning at 8:45 at the Wimberg Funeral Home, 400 Liverpool avenue here, followed by a requiem high mass at St. Nicholas Church at 9:30, with interment in Greenmount Cemetery, Hammonton. Friends are invited to call at the funeral home Thursday evening from 7 to 9."
