Max N. Lindauer (1860-1936) was a pioneer farmer in Missouri. His parents were influenced by the writings of Friedrich Münch, and in 1868 the family left Pennsylvania, going down the Ohio river to Washington, Missouri.

- "Max Lindauer, a prominent farmer west of Washington, entered into rest on Tuesday morning, September 23, 1936, at 12:30 o'clock. He had been in ill health during the late years and in the past week had taken seriously ill and passed away at the age of 75 years, 9 months and 1 day. Mr. Lindauer was born December 21, 1860."
