Peter Robert Whitfield Jr. (1918-1987) was a ship and submarine fitter. He married Doris Mae Zimbelman in 1940 and they divorced in 1953. He died in 1987. (b. 16 October 1918; San Francisco, California, United States - d. 12 November 1987; Pacifica, San Mateo, California, United States)

- Arrested for non-payment of child support. "Peter Robert Whitfield, Jr., arrested on a bench warrant charging violation of probation on an original non-support action was sentenced to six months in the county jail by Judge Wyckoff. He is a former resident of South San Francisco."

- "Surprising their many friends, Peter Whitfield Jr. and Miss Doris M. Zimbelman of Burlingame motored to Reno where they were quietly married Wednesday. The bridal couple are now honeymooning at Lake Tahoe and other points interest in the high Sierra and and will return to the Peninsula the first of the week. Miss Zimbelman is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Zimbelman of Donnelly avenue, Burlingame. She has lived here for about a year with her family and attended Burlingame High School. Mr. Whitfield is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Whitfield of Rhinette avenue, Burlingame and a brother of Floyd, Eugene and Mary Whitfield. A graduate of Burlingame High School, he attended San Mateo Junior College and is now employed in Burlingame. On their return from their honeymoon, the newlyweds will live Burlingame. "

- Injured in car accident. "Thrown through the windshield when the halted machine in which he sat was struck from the rear, Robert Whitfield, 17, of San Mateo incurred severe head cuts last night. He was taken to Community Hospital. Whitfield was in the car of John L. Barton, San Mateo. Burton stopped on El Camino Real to allow pedestrians to cross. Barton's car was smashed, according to police, by the automobile of Andre Sorensen of Burlingame."
