Richard Charles Freudenberg I (1918-1994) served in the United States Army during World War II. He later worked as a stereotyper for the New York Times. He married Jean Christina Tushil (1929-2000). He died in 1994 at age 75. (b. June 4, 1918; Jersey City, Hudson County, New Jersey, USA - d. February 20, 1994; Hackensack Medical Center, Hackensack, Bergen County, New Jersey, USA).

- His marriage. "Mrs. Anthony Cappola of 1214 Anderson Avenue entertained at a bridal shower a their home for Miss Jean Tushie [sic] of 81st Street, North Bergen. Buffet supper was served. Fifteen were present. Mrs. Cappola is to be matron of honor at the wedding of Miss Tuschie and Richard Freudenberg of Jersey City at Trinity Evangelical Church, North Bergen, November 24."
