Siegmund Freudenberg (1828-1908) was a Jewish merchant. He was born in Magdeburg, Germany and later moved to Berlin. He migrated from Berlin, Germany to the United States on January 3, 1856. He worked as a clerk at the Metropolitan Life Insurance Company in Manhattan, New York City and later worked and lived in Philadelphia. Before his death he moved back to Manhattan. His name is sometimes written as "Sigmund Freudenberg". The Freudenberg-Schwerin family papers are archived at the Jewish Museum Berlin.
