"William A. Lindauer, esteemed resident of Turbotville R. D. near Schuyler, died Wednesday at the Geisinger Hospital, Danville. Mr. Lindauer, who was 77 years of age, was admitted to the hospital Tuesday morning following a week of illness. He was born in 1864 in Lewis township, Northumberland county, the son of the late John L. [sic] and Mary Lindauer. Most of his life was spent in that area, and he was a staunch member of the Zion Lutheran Church at Turbotville. … Funeral services will be at Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Paul F. Grittner funeral home in Turbotville. Rev. Russel A. Flower, pastor of Zion Lutheran Church, Turbotville, will officiate, and interment will be made in the Turbotville Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Friday evening."
