Robert. Christopher, of Holborn, Director E.I.C., married Anne, daughter of Abraham Lethieullier. (Sir) James, born 1701, died 5th Nov. 1782, Master of the Crown Office from 1724 to his death. He was F.S.A. and F.R.S. He was President of the Royal Society in 1768 and 1772, and on presenting an Address to the King from the R.S., he was knighted on 10th Aug. 1773. He published eight volumes of legal “Reports,” also an Essay on Punctuation (1773), and Anecdotes, &c, on Oliver Cromwell.
