Provincial Government Act, 1961/Versions

Various versions of the Provincial Government Act, 1961, exist:

• as renamed and amended on 3 September 1984 by the Republic of South Africa Constitution Act, 1983; before that date it was known as the Republic of South Africa Constitution Act, 1961.
• as amended on 2 July 1985 by the Constitutional Affairs Amendment Act, 1985.
• as amended on 1 July 1986 by the Provincial Government Act, 1986.
• as amended on 1 April 1987 by the Provincial Government Act, 1986.

It was repealed on 27 April 1994 by the Constitution of the Republic of South Africa, 1993.
