1-9

	In the name of God, the Almighty, the Most Merciful.	Bismi Allahi alrrahmani alrraheemi
016:001	God's command will come, so do not hasten it. Glorified is He and High above the partners they have set up.	Ata amru Allahi fala tastaAAjiloohu subhanahu wataAAala AAamma yushrikoona
016:002	He sends down the Angels with the Spirit by His command upon whom He wishes of His servants: "That you shall warn that there is no god but I, so be aware of Me."	Yunazzilu almala-ikata bialrroohi min amrihi AAala man yashao min AAibadihi an anthiroo annahu la ilaha illa ana faittaqooni
016:003	He created the heavens and the Earth with the truth. He is High above the partners they have set up.	Khalaqa alssamawati waal-arda bialhaqqi taAAala AAamma yushrikoona
016:004	He created man from a seed, but then he becomes clearly in opposition.	Khalaqa al-insana min nutfatin fa-itha huwa khaseemun mubeenun
016:005	And the livestock He created them for you, in them is warmth and benefits, and from them you eat.	Waal-anAAama khalaqaha lakum feeha dif-on wamanafiAAu waminha ta-kuloona
016:006	And for you in them is beauty, when you relax and when you travel.	Walakum feeha jamalun heena tureehoona waheena tasrahoona
016:007	And they carry your loads to a place you would not have been able to reach except with great strain. Your Lord is Compassionate, Merciful.	Watahmilu athqalakum ila baladin lam takoonoo baligheehi illa bishiqqi al-anfusi inna rabbakum laraoofun raheemun
016:008	And the horses, and mules, and donkeys, that you may ride them and as an adornment. And He creates what you do not know.	Waalkhayla waalbighala waalhameera litarkabooha wazeenatan wayakhluqu ma la taAAlamoona
016:009	And to God shall be the path, but some are mislead. And if He wished, He could have guided you all.	WaAAala Allahi qasdu alssabeeli waminha ja-irun walaw shaa lahadakum ajmaAAeena

10-21

016:010	He is the One who sent down water from the sky for you, from it you drink, and from it emerge the trees that you wander around in.	Huwa allathee anzala mina alssama-i maan lakum minhu sharabun waminhu shajarun feehi tuseemoona
016:011	He brings forth with it vegetation and olives and palm trees and grapes and from all the fruits. In that are signs for a people who think.	Yunbitu lakum bihi alzzarAAa waalzzaytoona waalnnakheela waal-aAAnaba wamin kulli alththamarati inna fee thalika laayatan liqawmin yatafakkaroona
016:012	And He committed for you the night and the day, and the sun and the moon, and the stars are committed by His command. In that are signs for a people who comprehend.	Wasakhkhara lakumu allayla waalnnahara waalshshamsa waalqamara waalnnujoomu musakhkharatun bi-amrihi inna fee thalika laayatin liqawmin yaAAqiloona
016:013	And what He has placed for you on Earth in various colors. In that are signs for a people who remember.	Wama tharaa lakum fee al-ardi mukhtalifan alwanuhu inna fee thalika laayatan liqawmin yaththakkaroona
016:014	And He is the One who committed the sea, that you may eat from it a tender meat, and that you may extract from it pearls that you wear. And you see the ships flowing through it, so that you may seek from His bounty, and that you may be thankful.	Wahuwa allathee sakhkhara albahra lita/kuloo minhu lahman tariyyan watastakhrijoo minhu hilyatan talbasoonaha watara alfulka mawakhira feehi walitabtaghoo min fadlihi walaAAallakum tashkuroona
016:015	And He has cast into the Earth stabilizers so that it does not sway with you, and rivers, and paths, perhaps you will be guided.	Waalqa fee al-ardi rawasiya an tameeda bikum waanharan wasubulan laAAallakum tahtadoona
016:016	And landmarks, and by the stars they use to guide.	WaAAalamatin wabialnnajmi hum yahtadoona
016:017	Is the One who creates the same as one who does not create? Will you not remember?	Afaman yakhluqu kaman la yakhluqu afala tathakkaroona
016:018	And if you count the blessings of God you will not be able to fathom them. God is Forgiving, Merciful.	Wa-in taAAuddoo niAAmata Allahi la tuhsooha inna Allaha laghafoorun raheemun
016:019	And God knows what you hide and what you declare.	WaAllahu yaAAlamu ma tusirroona wama tuAAlinoona
016:020	As for those they call on besides God, they do not create anything, but are themselves created!	Waallatheena yadAAoona min dooni Allahi la yakhluqoona shay-an wahum yukhlaqoona
016:021	They are dead, not alive, and they will not know when they are resurrected.	Amwatun ghayru ahya-in wama yashAAuroona ayyana yubAAathoona

22-25

016:022	Your god is One god. Those who do not believe in the Hereafter, their hearts are denying, and they are arrogant.	Ilahukum ilahun wahidun faallatheena la yu/minoona bial-akhirati quloobuhum munkiratun wahum mustakbiroona
016:023	Certainly, God knows what they hide and what they reveal. He does not like the arrogant.	La jarama anna Allaha yaAAlamu ma yusirroona wama yuAAlinoona innahu la yuhibbu almustakbireena
016:024	And if they are told: "What has your Lord sent down?" They Say: "Fairytales of old."	Wa-itha qeela lahum matha anzala rabbukum qaloo asateeru al-awwaleena
016:025	They will carry their burdens in full on the Day of Resurrection, and also from the burdens of those whom they misguided without knowledge. Evil indeed is what they bear.	Liyahmiloo awzarahum kamilatan yawma alqiyamati wamin awzari allatheena yudilloonahum bighayri AAilmin ala saa ma yaziroona

26-34

016:026	Those before them have schemed, but God came to their buildings from the foundation, thus the roof fell on top of them, and the retribution came to them from where they did not know.	Qad makara allatheena min qablihim faata Allahu bunyanahum mina alqawaAAidi fakharra AAalayhimu alssaqfu min fawqihim waatahumu alAAathabu min haythu la yashAAuroona
016:027	Then, on the Day of Resurrection He will humiliate them, and Say: "Where are My partners whom you used to dispute regarding them?" Those who have received the knowledge said: "The humiliation today and misery is upon the rejecters."	Thumma yawma alqiyamati yukhzeehim wayaqoolu ayna shuraka-iya allatheena kuntum tushaqqoona feehim qala allatheena ootoo alAAilma inna alkhizya alyawma waalssoo-a AAala alkafireena
016:028	Those whom the Angels take while they had wronged their souls: "Amnesty, we did not do any evil!" "Alas, God is aware of what you had done."	Allatheena tatawaffahumu almala-ikatu thalimee anfusihim faalqawoo alssalama ma kunna naAAmalu min soo-in bala inna Allaha AAaleemun bima kuntum taAAmaloona
016:029	"So enter the gates of Hell, in it you shall reside; such is the abode of the arrogant."	Faodkhuloo abwaba jahannama khalideena feeha falabi/sa mathwa almutakabbireena
016:030	And it was said to those who were righteous: "What has your Lord sent down?" They said: "All goodness." For those who have done good in this world there is good, and the Hereafter is even better. Excellent indeed is the home of the righteous.	Waqeela lillatheena ittaqaw matha anzala rabbukum qaloo khayran lillatheena ahsanoo fee hathihi alddunya hasanatun waladaru al-akhirati khayrun walaniAAma daru almuttaqeena
016:031	The gardens of Eden, which they will enter, with rivers flowing beneath, in it they will have what they wish. It is such that God rewards the righteous.	Jannatu AAadnin yadkhuloonaha tajree min tahtiha al-anharu lahum feeha ma yashaoona kathalika yajzee Allahu almuttaqeena
016:032	Those whom the Angels take, while they had been good, they will Say: "Peace be upon you, enter Paradise because of that which you have done."	Allatheena tatawaffahumu almala-ikatu tayyibeena yaqooloona salamun AAalaykumu odkhuloo aljannata bima kuntum taAAmaloona
016:033	Are they waiting for the Angels to come for them, or a command from your Lord? It was exactly the same as what those before them did. God did not wrong them, but it was their own selves that they wronged.	Hal yanthuroona illa an ta/tiyahumu almala-ikatu aw ya/tiya amru rabbika kathalika faAAala allatheena min qablihim wama thalamahumu Allahu walakin kanoo anfusahum yathlimoona
016:034	Thus, the evil of their work afflicted them, and they were surrounded by that which they used to make fun of!	Faasabahum sayyi-atu ma AAamiloo wahaqa bihim ma kanoo bihi yastahzi-oona

35-40

016:035	And those who set up partners said: "If God had wished it, we would not have served anything besides Him; neither us nor our fathers; nor would we have forbidden anything without Him." Those before them did the exact same thing; so are the messengers required to do anything but deliver with clarity?	Waqala allatheena ashrakoo law shaa Allahu ma AAabadna min doonihi min shay-in nahnu wala abaona wala harramna min doonihi min shay-in kathalika faAAala allatheena min qablihim fahal AAala alrrusuli illa albalaghu almubeenu
016:036	And We have sent a messenger to every nation: "You shall serve God and avoid evil." Some of them were guided by God, and some of them deserved to be misguided. So travel in the land, and see how the punishment was of those who denied.	Walaqad baAAathna fee kulli ommatin rasoolan ani oAAbudoo Allaha waijtaniboo alttaghoota faminhum man hada Allahu waminhum man haqqat AAalayhi alddalalatu faseeroo fee al-ardi faonthuroo kayfa kana AAaqibatu almukaththibeena
016:037	If you are concerned for their guidance, God does not guide whom He misleads. And they will have no victors.	In tahris AAala hudahum fa-inna Allaha la yahdee man yudillu wama lahum min nasireena
016:038	And they swore by God, in their strongest oaths, that God will not resurrect whoever dies. No, it is a promise of truth upon Him, but most people do not know.	Waaqsamoo biAllahi jahda aymanihim la yabAAathu Allahu man yamootu bala waAAdan AAalayhi haqqan walakinna akthara alnnasi la yaAAlamoona
016:039	So that He will make clear for them that in which they have disputed, and so that those who have rejected will know that they were liars.	Liyubayyina lahumu allathee yakhtalifoona feehi waliyaAAlama allatheena kafaroo annahum kanoo kathibeena
016:040	It is Our saying to a thing if We want it, to say to it: "Be," and it is.	Innama qawluna lishay-in itha aradnahu an naqoola lahu kun fayakoonu

41-50

016:041	And those who have emigrated for God, after they were oppressed, We will grant them good in the world, and the reward of the Hereafter will be greater, if they knew.	Waallatheena hajaroo fee Allahi min baAAdi ma thulimoo lanubawwi-annahum fee alddunya hasanatan walaajru al-akhirati akbaru law kanoo yaAAlamoona
016:042	Those who are patient, and put their trust in their Lord.	Allatheena sabaroo waAAala rabbihim yatawakkaloona
016:043	And We did not send any except men before you whom We inspired, so ask the people who received the Reminder if you do not know.	Wama arsalna min qablika illa rijalan noohee ilayhim fais-aloo ahla alththikri in kuntum la taAAlamoona
016:044	With clarity and the Psalms. And We sent down to you the Reminder to make clear to the people what was sent to them, and perhaps they will think.	Bialbayyinati waalzzuburi waanzalna ilayka alththikra litubayyina lilnnasi ma nuzzila ilayhim walaAAallahum yatafakkaroona
016:045	Have those who schemed evil guaranteed that God will not make the Earth swallow them, or the retribution come to them from where they do not expect?	Afaamina allatheena makaroo alssayyi-ati an yakhsifa Allahu bihimu al-arda aw ya/tiyahumu alAAathabu min haythu la yashAAuroona
016:046	Or that He will take them in their sleep?, for they cannot stop it.	Aw ya/khuthahum fee taqallubihim fama hum bimuAAjizeena
016:047	Or that He will take them while they are in fear?. Your Lord is Compassionate, Merciful.	Aw ya/khuthahum AAala takhawwufin fa-inna rabbakum laraoofun raheemun
016:048	Did they not see that anything God creates, its shadow inclines to the right and the left submitting to God, willingly?	Awa lam yaraw ila ma khalaqa Allahu min shay-in yatafayyao thilaluhu AAani alyameeni waalshshama-ili sujjadan lillahi wahum dakhiroona
016:049	And to God submit all those in the heavens and all those on the Earth, from the creatures as well as the Angels, and they are not arrogant.	Walillahi yasjudu ma fee alssamawati wama fee al-ardi min dabbatin waalmala-ikatu wahum la yastakbiroona
016:050	They fear their Lord from above them, and they do what they are commanded.	Yakhafoona rabbahum min fawqihim wayafAAaloona ma yu/maroona

51-60

016:051	And God said: "Do not take-up two gods, there is only One god, so it is Me that you shall reverence."	Waqala Allahu la tattakhithoo ilahayni ithnayni innama huwa ilahun wahidun fa-iyyaya fairhabooni
016:052	And to Him is what is in the heavens and the Earth, and the system shall be to Him. Is it other than God that you shall be aware of?	Walahu ma fee alssamawati waal-ardi walahu alddeenu wasiban afaghayra Allahi tattaqoona
016:053	And any blessings that are with you are from God. Then, when harm afflicts you, to Him you cry out.	Wama bikum min niAAmatin famina Allahi thumma itha massakumu alddurru fa-ilayhi taj-aroona
016:054	Then, when He removes the harm from you, a group of you set up partners with their Lord!	Thumma itha kashafa alddurra AAankum itha fareequn minkum birabbihim yushrikoona
016:055	So they reject what We have given them. Enjoy, for you will come to know.	Liyakfuroo bima ataynahum fatamattaAAoo fasawfa taAAlamoona
016:056	And they allocate a portion from what We provide to them to that which they did not have knowledge of. By God, you will be asked about the lies you have invented!	WayajAAaloona lima la yaAAlamoona naseeban mimma razaqnahum taAllahi latus-alunna AAamma kuntum taftaroona
016:057	And they assign their daughters to God; be He glorified; and to them is what they desire.	WayajAAaloona lillahi albanati subhanahu walahum ma yashtahoona
016:058	And when one of them is given news of a female, his face becomes darkened and he is in grief!	Wa-itha bushshira ahaduhum bialontha thalla wajhuhu muswaddan wahuwa katheemun
016:059	He hides from his people because of the bad news he has received. Shall he keep her with dishonour, or bury her in the sand? Miserable indeed is how they judge!	Yatawara mina alqawmi min soo-i ma bushshira bihi ayumsikuhu AAala hoonin am yadussuhu fee altturabi ala saa ma yahkumoona
016:060	For those who do not believe in the Hereafter is the worst example, and for God is the highest example, and He is the Noble, the Wise.	Lillatheena la yu/minoona bial-akhirati mathalu alssaw-i walillahi almathalu al-aAAla wahuwa alAAazeezu alhakeemu

61-65

016:061	And if God were to immediately call mankind to account for their transgression, then He would not leave a single creature standing. But He delays them to a determined time; so when that time comes to any of them, they cannot delay it by one hour or advance it.	Walaw yu-akhithu Allahu alnnasa bithulmihim ma taraka AAalayha min dabbatin walakin yu-akhkhiruhum ila ajalin musamman fa-itha jaa ajaluhum la yasta/khiroona saAAatan wala yastaqdimoona
016:062	And they assign to God what they hate, and their tongues describe with lies that they will have what is good. No doubt they will have the Fire, for they have rebelled.	WayajAAaloona lillahi ma yakrahoona watasifu alsinatuhumu alkathiba anna lahumu alhusna la jarama anna lahumu alnnara waannahum mufratoona
016:063	By God, We have sent others to nations before you, but the devil adorned their work for them. So he is their ally today, and they will have a painful retribution.	TaAllahi laqad arsalna ila omamin min qablika fazayyana lahumu alshshaytanu aAAmalahum fahuwa waliyyuhumu alyawma walahum AAathabun aleemun
016:064	And We did not send down the Scripture to you except that you may clarify to them that in which they disputed, and as a guidance and mercy to a people who believe.	Wama anzalna AAalayka alkitaba illa litubayyina lahumu allathee ikhtalafoo feehi wahudan warahmatan liqawmin yu/minoona
016:065	And God has sent down water from the sky, so He revives the land with it after its death. In that is a sign for a people who listen.	WaAllahu anzala mina alssama-i maan faahya bihi al-arda baAAda mawtiha inna fee thalika laayatan liqawmin yasmaAAoona

66-70

016:066	And for you there is a lesson in the livestock; We give you to drink from what is in its stomach between the digested food and the blood, a pure milk which is relieving for the drinkers.	Wa-inna lakum fee al-anAAami laAAibratan nusqeekum mimma fee butoonihi min bayni farthin wadamin labanan khalisan sa-ighan lilshsharibeena
016:067	And from the fruits of the palm trees and the grapes you make wine and a good provision. In that is a sign for a people who comprehend.	Wamin thamarati alnnakheeli waal-aAAnabi tattakhithoona minhu sakaran warizqan hasanan inna fee thalika laayatan liqawmin yaAAqiloona
016:068	And your Lord inspired to the bees: "You shall take homes of the mountains and of the trees and of what they erect."	Waawha rabbuka ila alnnahli ani ittakhithee mina aljibali buyootan wamina alshshajari wamimma yaAArishoona
016:069	Then you shall eat from every fruit, so seek the path your Lord has made easy. From its stomach will emerge a liquid that has different colors, in it is a healing for mankind. In that is a sign for a people who will think.	Thumma kulee min kulli alththamarati faoslukee subula rabbiki thululan yakhruju min butooniha sharabun mukhtalifun alwanuhu feehi shifaon lilnnasi inna fee thalika laayatan liqawmin yatafakkaroona
016:070	And God created you then He will take you. And some of you will continue to old age so that he will not know anything more after his knowledge. God is Knowing, Capable.	WaAllahu khalaqakum thumma yatawaffakum waminkum man yuraddu ila arthali alAAumuri likay la yaAAlama baAAda AAilmin shay-an inna Allaha AAaleemun qadeerun

71-76

016:071	And God has preferred some of you over others in provision. Those who have been preferred will not relinquish their provision to those who are still dependant, so they may become equal in it. Are they denying the favour of God?	WaAllahu faddala baAAdakum AAala baAAdin fee alrrizqi fama allatheena fuddiloo biraddee rizqihim AAala ma malakat aymanuhum fahum feehi sawaon afabiniAAmati Allahi yajhadoona
016:072	And God has made for you mates from amongst yourselves, and He has made from your mates children and grandchildren, and He has provided you from the good provisions. Do they believe in falsehood, while in God's favour they are denying?	WaAllahu jaAAala lakum min anfusikum azwajan wajaAAala lakum min azwajikum baneena wahafadatan warazaqakum mina alttayyibati afabialbatili yu/minoona wabiniAAmati Allahi hum yakfuroona
016:073	And they serve besides God that which does not and cannot possess anything of the provisions from the sky or the land.	WayaAAbudoona min dooni Allahi ma la yamliku lahum rizqan mina alssamawati waal-ardi shay-an wala yastateeAAoona
016:074	So do not give parables to God. God knows while you do not know.	Fala tadriboo lillahi al-amthala inna Allaha yaAAlamu waantum la taAAlamoona
016:075	God puts forth the example of a slave who is owned and cannot achieve anything, against one whom We have provided a good provision which he spends of it secretly and openly. Are they the same? God be praised, but most of them do not know.	Daraba Allahu mathalan AAabdan mamlookan la yaqdiru AAala shay-in waman razaqnahu minna rizqan hasanan fahuwa yunfiqu minhu sirran wajahran hal yastawoona alhamdu lillahi bal aktharuhum la yaAAlamoona
016:076	And God puts forth the example of two men, one of them is mute and he cannot achieve anything, and he is a burden to his guardian. Wherever he points him, he does not come with any good. Is he the same as one who orders good and he is upon a straight path?	Wadaraba Allahu mathalan rajulayni ahaduhuma abkamu la yaqdiru AAala shay-in wahuwa kallun AAala mawlahu aynama yuwajjihhu la ya/ti bikhayrin hal yastawee huwa waman ya/muru bialAAadli wahuwa AAala siratin mustaqeemin

77-83

016:077	And to God is the unseen of the heavens and the Earth, and the matter of the Hour is like the blink of the eye or nearer. God is capable of all things.	Walillahi ghaybu alssamawati waal-ardi wama amru alssaAAati illa kalamhi albasari aw huwa aqrabu inna Allaha AAala kulli shay-in qadeerun
016:078	And God brought you out of your mothers wombs while you knew nothing. And He made for you the hearing and the eyesight and the heart, perhaps you would be thankful.	WaAllahu akhrajakum min butooni ommahatikum la taAAlamoona shay-an wajaAAala lakumu alssamAAa waal-absara waal-af-idata laAAallakum tashkuroona
016:079	Did they not look to the birds held in the atmosphere of the sky? No one holds them up except God. In that are signs for a people who believe.	Alam yaraw ila alttayri musakhkharatin fee jawwi alssama-i ma yumsikuhunna illa Allahu inna fee thalika laayatin liqawmin yu/minoona
016:080	And God has made your homes a habitat, and He made for you from the hides of the livestock shelter which you find light for travel and when you stay, and from its wool, fur, and hair you make furnishings and goods, for a while.	WaAllahu jaAAala lakum min buyootikum sakanan wajaAAala lakum min juloodi al-anAAami buyootan tastakhiffoonaha yawma thaAAnikum wayawma iqamatikum wamin aswafiha waawbariha waashAAariha athathan wamataAAan ila heenin
016:081	And God has made for you shade from what He created, and He made from the mountains a refuge for you, and He made for you garments which protect you from the heat, and garments which protect you from attack. It is such that He completes His blessing upon you, that you may surrender.	WaAllahu jaAAala lakum mimma khalaqa thilalan wajaAAala lakum mina aljibali aknanan wajaAAala lakum sarabeela taqeekumu alharra wasarabeela taqeekum ba/sakum kathalika yutimmu niAAmatahu AAalaykum laAAallakum tuslimoona
016:082	So if they turn away, then you are only required to deliver clearly.	Fa-in tawallaw fa-innama AAalayka albalaghu almubeenu
016:083	They recognize God's blessings, then they deny them. And most of them are rejecters.	YaAArifoona niAAmata Allahi thumma yunkiroonaha waaktharuhumu alkafiroona

84-89

016:084	And the Day We send from every nation a witness, then those who have rejected will not be given leave, nor will they be allowed to repent.	Wayawma nabAAathu min kulli ommatin shaheedan thumma la yu/thanu lillatheena kafaroo wala hum yustaAAtaboona
016:085	And then those who were wicked will see the retribution; it will not be lightened for them, nor will they be given respite.	Wa-itha raa allatheena thalamoo alAAathaba fala yukhaffafu AAanhum wala hum yuntharoona
016:086	And when those who set up partners saw the partners they made, they said: "Our Lord, these are our partners that we used to call upon besides You." But they returned in answer to them: "You are liars!"	Wa-itha raa allatheena ashrakoo shurakaahum qaloo rabbana haola-i shurakaona allatheena kunna nadAAoo min doonika faalqaw ilayhimu alqawla innakum lakathiboona
016:087	And they surrendered to God on that Day, and what they had invented abandoned them.	Waalqaw ila Allahi yawma-ithin alssalama wadalla AAanhum ma kanoo yaftaroona
016:088	Those who rejected, and repelled others from the path of God, We have increased the retribution for them over the retribution for what they had corrupted.	Allatheena kafaroo wasaddoo AAan sabeeli Allahi zidnahum AAathaban fawqa alAAathabi bima kanoo yufsidoona
016:089	And the Day We send to every nation a witness against them from themselves, and We have brought you as a witness against these. And We have sent down to you the Scripture as a clarification for all things, and a guide and mercy and good tidings to those who have surrendered.	Wayawma nabAAathu fee kulli ommatin shaheedan AAalayhim min anfusihim waji/na bika shaheedan AAala haola-i wanazzalna AAalayka alkitaba tibyanan likulli shay-in wahudan warahmatan wabushra lilmuslimeena

90-100

016:090	God orders justice and goodness and that you shall help your relatives, and He deters from evil, vice, and transgression. He warns you that you may remember.	Inna Allaha ya/muru bialAAadli waal-ihsani wa-eeta-i thee alqurba wayanha AAani alfahsha-i waalmunkari waalbaghyi yaAAithukum laAAallakum tathakkaroona
016:091	And fulfill your pledge to God when you pledge so, and do not break your oath after making it, for you have made God a sponsor over you. God is aware of what you do.	Waawfoo biAAahdi Allahi itha AAahadtum wala tanqudoo al-aymana baAAda tawkeediha waqad jaAAaltumu Allaha AAalaykum kafeelan inna Allaha yaAAlamu ma tafAAaloona
016:092	And do not be like she who unravelled her knitting after it had become strong, by breaking your oaths as a means of deception between you. That a nation shall be more numerous than another nation, for God puts you to the test by it. And He will show you on the Day of Resurrection that which you were disputing in.	Wala takoonoo kaallatee naqadat ghazlaha min baAAdi quwwatin ankathan tattakhithoona aymanakum dakhalan baynakum an takoona ommatun hiya arba min ommatin innama yablookumu Allahu bihi walayubayyinanna lakum yawma alqiyamati ma kuntum feehi takhtalifoona
016:093	And had God wished, He would have made you one nation, but He misguides whom He wishes, and He guides whom He wishes. And you will be asked about what you used to do.	Walaw shaa Allahu lajaAAalakum ommatan wahidatan walakin yudillu man yashao wayahdee man yashao walatus-alunna AAamma kuntum taAAmaloona
016:094	And do not use your oaths as a means of deception between you, that a foot will falter after it had been firm, and you will taste the evil of turning away from the path of God, and you will have a great retribution.	Wala tattakhithoo aymanakum dakhalan baynakum fatazilla qadamun baAAda thubootiha watathooqoo alssoo-a bima sadadtum AAan sabeeli Allahi walakum AAathabun AAatheemun
016:095	And do not purchase with God's pledge a cheap price. What is with God is far better for you if you know.	Wala tashtaroo biAAahdi Allahi thamanan qaleelan innama AAinda Allahi huwa khayrun lakum in kuntum taAAlamoona
016:096	What you have will run out, while what God has will remain. And We will recompense those who are patient their reward with the best of what they used to do.	Ma AAindakum yanfadu wama AAinda Allahi baqin walanajziyanna allatheena sabaroo ajrahum bi-ahsani ma kanoo yaAAmaloona
016:097	Whoever does good work, be he male or female, and is a believer, We will give him a good life and We will reward them their dues with the best of what they used to do.	Man AAamila salihan min thakarin aw ontha wahuwa mu/minun falanuhyiyannahu hayatan tayyibatan walanajziyannahum ajrahum bi-ahsani ma kanoo yaAAmaloona
016:098	So, when you study the Quran, you shall seek refuge with God from Satan the outcast.	Fa-itha qara/ta alqur-ana faistaAAith biAllahi mina alshshaytani alrrajeemi
016:099	He has no authority over those who believe, and who put their trust in their Lord.	Innahu laysa lahu sultanun AAala allatheena amanoo waAAala rabbihim yatawakkaloona
016:100	His authority is over those who follow him, and set him up as a partner.	Innama sultanuhu AAala allatheena yatawallawnahu waallatheena hum bihi mushrikoona

101-110

016:101	And if We exchange a verse in place of another verse; and God is more aware of what He is revealing; they Say: "You are making this up!" Alas, most of them do not know.	Wa-itha baddalna ayatan makana ayatin waAllahu aAAlamu bima yunazzilu qaloo innama anta muftarin bal aktharuhum la yaAAlamoona
016:102	Say: "The holy Spirit has sent it down from your Lord with truth, so that those who believe will be strengthened, and as a guidance and good news for those who have surrendered."	Qul nazzalahu roohu alqudusi min rabbika bialhaqqi liyuthabbita allatheena amanoo wahudan wabushra lilmuslimeena
016:103	And We are aware that they Say: "A human is teaching him." The language of the one they refer to is foreign, while this is a clear Arabic language.	Walaqad naAAlamu annahum yaqooloona innama yuAAallimuhu basharun lisanu allathee yulhidoona ilayhi aAAjamiyyun wahatha lisanun AAarabiyyun mubeenun
016:104	Those who do not believe in God's revelations, God will not guide them, and they will have a painful retribution.	Inna allatheena la yu/minoona bi-ayati Allahi la yahdeehimu Allahu walahum AAathabun aleemun
016:105	Making-up lies is only done by those who do not believe in God's revelations, and these are the liars.	Innama yaftaree alkathiba allatheena la yu/minoona bi-ayati Allahi waola-ika humu alkathiboona
016:106	Whoever rejects God after having believed; except for one who is forced while his heart is still content with belief; and has opened his chest to rejection, then they will have a wrath from God and they will have a great retribution.	Man kafara biAllahi min baAAdi eemanihi illa man okriha waqalbuhu mutma-innun bial-eemani walakin man sharaha bialkufri sadran faAAalayhim ghadabun mina Allahi walahum AAathabun AAatheemun
016:107	That is because they preferred the worldly life over the Hereafter, and God does not guide the rejecting people.	Thalika bi-annahumu istahabboo alhayata alddunya AAala al-akhirati waanna Allaha la yahdee alqawma alkafireena
016:108	Those are the ones whom God has stamped on their hearts, and their hearing, and their sight, and these are the unaware ones.	Ola-ika allatheena tabaAAa Allahu AAala quloobihim wasamAAihim waabsarihim waola-ika humu alghafiloona
016:109	Without doubt, in the Hereafter they are the losers.	La jarama annahum fee al-akhirati humu alkhasiroona
016:110	And your Lord is to those who emigrated after they were persecuted, then they strived and were patient; your Lord after that is Forgiving, Merciful.	Thumma inna rabbaka lillatheena hajaroo min baAAdi ma futinoo thumma jahadoo wasabaroo inna rabbaka min baAAdiha laghafoorun raheemun

111-119

016:111	The Day every soul will come to argue for itself, and every soul will be paid in full for what it did, and they will not be wronged.	Yawma ta/tee kullu nafsin tujadilu AAan nafsiha watuwaffa kullu nafsin ma AAamilat wahum la yuthlamoona
016:112	And God cites the example of a town which was peaceful and content, its provisions were coming to it bountifully from all places, but then it rebelled against God's blessings and God made it taste hunger and fear for what they used to do.	Wadaraba Allahu mathalan qaryatan kanat aminatan mutma-innatan ya/teeha rizquha raghadan min kulli makanin fakafarat bi-anAAumi Allahi faathaqaha Allahu libasa aljooAAi waalkhawfi bima kanoo yasnaAAoona
016:113	And a messenger came to them from themselves, but they denied him, so the punishment took them while they were wicked.	Walaqad jaahum rasoolun minhum fakaththaboohu faakhathahumu alAAathabu wahum thalimoona
016:114	So eat from what God has provided for you, that which is good and lawful, and thank the blessings of God, if it is indeed He whom you serve.	Fakuloo mimma razaqakumu Allahu halalan tayyiban waoshkuroo niAAmata Allahi in kuntum iyyahu taAAbudoona
016:115	He only made forbidden for you what is already dead, and blood, and the meat of pig, and what was sacrificed to any other than God. But whoever is forced to, without disobedience or transgression, then God is Forgiving, Merciful.	Innama harrama AAalaykumu almaytata waalddama walahma alkhinzeeri wama ohilla lighayri Allahi bihi famani idturra ghayra baghin wala AAadin fa-inna Allaha ghafoorun raheemun
016:116	And do not say regarding what your tongues describe with lies: "This is lawful and that is forbidden;" that you seek to invent lies about God. Those who invent lies about God will not succeed.	Wala taqooloo lima tasifu alsinatukumu alkathiba hatha halalun wahatha haramun litaftaroo AAala Allahi alkathiba inna allatheena yaftaroona AAala Allahi alkathiba la yuflihoona
016:117	A small enjoyment, and they will have a painful retribution.	MataAAun qaleelun walahum AAathabun aleemun
016:118	And for those who are Jews, We forbade what We narrated to you before. We did not wrong them, but it was themselves they used to wrong.	WaAAala allatheena hadoo harramna ma qasasna AAalayka min qablu wama thalamnahum walakin kanoo anfusahum yathlimoona
016:119	Then your Lord to those who do evil out of ignorance, then they repent after that and they make right, your Lord after that is Forgiving, Merciful.	Thumma inna rabbaka lillatheena AAamiloo alssoo-a bijahalatin thumma taboo min baAAdi thalika waaslahoo inna rabbaka min baAAdiha laghafoorun raheemun

120-128

016:120	Abraham was a nation, devoted to God, a monotheist, and he was not of those who set up partners.	Inna ibraheema kana ommatan qanitan lillahi haneefan walam yaku mina almushrikeena
016:121	Thankful for God's blessings. He chose him and guided him to a Straight Path.	Shakiran li-anAAumihi ijtabahu wahadahu ila siratin mustaqeemin
016:122	And We gave him good in this world, and in the Hereafter he is of the upright ones.	Waataynahu fee alddunya hasanatan wa-innahu fee al-akhirati lamina alssaliheena
016:123	Then We inspired to you: "You shall follow the creed of Abraham, monotheism, and he was not of those who set up partners."	Thumma awhayna ilayka ani ittabiAA millata ibraheema haneefan wama kana mina almushrikeena
016:124	The Sabbath was only decreed for those who disputed in it, and your Lord will judge between them for that which they disputed in.	Innama juAAila alssabtu AAala allatheena ikhtalafoo feehi wa-inna rabbaka layahkumu baynahum yawma alqiyamati feema kanoo feehi yakhtalifoona
016:125	Invite to the path of your Lord with wisdom and good advice, and argue with them in that which is better. Your Lord is fully aware of who is misguided from His path, and He is fully aware of the guided ones.	OdAAu ila sabeeli rabbika bialhikmati waalmawAAithati alhasanati wajadilhum biallatee hiya ahsanu inna rabbaka huwa aAAlamu biman dalla AAan sabeelihi wahuwa aAAlamu bialmuhtadeena
016:126	And if you punish, then punish with equivalence to that which you were punished. And if you are patient then it is better for the patient ones.	Wa-in AAaqabtum faAAaqiboo bimithli ma AAooqibtum bihi wala-in sabartum lahuwa khayrun lilssabireena
016:127	And be patient, for your patience is on none but God. And do not grieve for them, and do not be depressed by what they scheme.	Waisbir wama sabruka illa biAllahi wala tahzan AAalayhim wala taku fee dayqin mimma yamkuroona
016:128	God is with those who are aware and are good doers.	Inna Allaha maAAa allatheena ittaqaw waallatheena hum muhsinoona
