Bismi Allahi alrrahmani alrraheemi

By the Sun and its brightness. |
Waalshshamsi waduhaha
|
| 091:002 |
And the Moon that comes after it. |
Waalqamari itha talaha
|
| 091:003 |
And the day which reveals. |
Waalnnahari itha jallaha
|
| 091:004 |
And the night which covers. |
Waallayli itha yaghshaha
|
| 091:005 |
And the sky and what He built. |
Waalssama-i wama banaha
|
| 091:006 |
And the Earth and what He sustains. |
Waal-ardi wama tahaha
|
| 091:007 |
And a soul and what He made. |
Wanafsin wama sawwaha
|
| 091:008 |
So He gave it its evil and good. |
Faalhamaha fujooraha wataqwaha
|
| 091:009 |
Successful is the one who betters it. |
Qad aflaha man zakkaha
|
| 091:010 |
And failing is the one who buries it. |
Waqad khaba man dassaha
|
| 091:011 |
Thamud denied their transgression. |
Kaththabat thamoodu bitaghwaha
|
| 091:012 |
They followed the worst amongst them. |
Ithi inbaAAatha ashqaha
|
| 091:013 |
God's messenger said to them: "This is God's camel, let her drink." |
Faqala lahum rasoolu Allahi naqata Allahi wasuqyaha
|
| 091:014 |
They disbelieved him, and they killed her. So their Lord repaid them for their sin and levelled it. |
Fakaththaboohu faAAaqarooha fadamdama AAalayhim rabbuhum bithanbihim fasawwaha
|
| 091:015 |
Yet, those who came after remain heedless. |
Wala yakhafu AAuqbaha
|
