Grasshoppers and Humming Birds

Have you ever watched Tommy Grasshopper jump? Tommy has two very long legs. He gives a kick and up in the air he goes. My! Tommy can jump far for such a weeny fellow. Wouldn't it be lots of fun to jump like that, if there was a nice springy hay stack to light upon? Tommy Grasshopper doesn’t mind though even if he does bump his head, he just gives another kick and tries to jump much farther. So, if anything does not go just as we like, we must do as Tommy Grasshopper does, try again and try much harder. Then, everything turns out ever so much happier.

G
is for Grasshoppers—see how they jump. They never cry when their heads get a bump.
is for Humming Bird, dressed up so gay, Kissing the flowers he meets on the way.
