SPECIAL GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE KALIBAPI
MANILA, PHILIPPINES

WHEREAS, the Preparatory Commission for Philippine Independence selected at the Special National Convention of the Kapisanan sa Paglilingkod sa Bagong Pilipinas (KALIBAPI) was called upon to draft a Constitution for an Independent Philippines;

WHEREAS, the Preparatory Commission for Philippine Independence has completed the draft of a Constitution for the Republic of the Philippines;

WHEREAS, the Constitution as drafted and submitted to the Special General Assembly embodies the noblest aspirations of the Filipino people as well as their determination to lead a free national existence;

WHEREAS, by law, it is required that the Constitution of the Republic of the Philippines be ratified by a vote of two-thirds of all the members of the Special General Assembly of the Kapisanan sa Paglilingkod sa Bagong Pilipinas (KALIBAPI) especially elected and convened for the purpose; Now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, that the Special General Assembly, in its own behalf and in behalf of the Filipino people, ratify, as it hereby ratifies, the Constitution of the Republic of the Philippines as submitted by the Preparatory Commission for Philippine Independence.
