JOHN PASCO, Esq.
[Post-Captain of 1811.]
Obtained a lieutenant’s commission in 1795; and was badly wounded when serving on board Nelson’s flag-ship, at the ever memorable battle of Trafalgar. His promotion to the rank of commander took place Dec. 24, 1805.
Towards the close of 1808, Captain Pasco was appointed to the Hindostan 50, armed en flûte, in which ship he sailed for New South Wales, about May, 1809. He subsequently commanded the Tartarus 20, and continued in her after his advancement to post rank, April 3, 1811. In 1815, he was successively appointed to the Rota 38, and Lee 20 ; the latter ship he paid off at Plymouth, in Sept. 1818.
Captain Pasco enjoys a pension of 250l. per annum for his wounds.
