RICHARD PELLOWE, Esq
[Post-Captain of 1802.]

This officer was made a Lieutenant in 1790, and served as third of the Nymphe at the capture of la Cleopatra, French frigate, June 18, 1793[1]. He afterwards commanded the Otter fire-ship. During the late contest with France he was principally employed as an agent for prisoners of war.

Captain Pellowe married, Sept. 7, 1805, Miss Sparg, of Penryn, in Cornwall. That lady died April 29, 1812.
