ROBERT SHARPE, Esq.
Knight of the Royal Portuguese Order of the Tower and Sword.

Obtained his first commission on the 13th Mar. 1815; and was a lieutenant of the Windsor Castle 74, Captain (now Sir Charles) Dashwood, when King John of Portugal took refuge on board that ship, at Lisbon, in May 1824, His promotion to the rank of commander took place Nov. 24th, 1826.
