ALEXANDER TAIT, Esq.

Passed his examination for lieutenant, at Sheerness, in Mar. 1B12; and was promoted into the Africaine frigate. Captain the Hon. Edward Rodney, June 1st, 1814. He subsequently served under Commodore Nourse, in the Andromache 44, on the African station; and obtained his present rank July 9th, 1825.
