Suit Filed as Result of Plane Crash Last Year. A $550,000 lawsuit has been filed in Superior Court by the surviving family of a Carmel Valley man killed in an airplane crash last year. The suit was filed by the wife and two minor children of Dean Wolter, who died when his light Model 170-A plane crashed on takeoff at the Monterey Peninsula Airport October 18, 1963. Mrs. Mary Wolter filed in her own behalf, and Byington Ford of Carmel Valley, maternal grandfather, filed in behalf of Carolyn, 17, and Dean Ford Wolter, 15. Named as defendants in the civil action are Cessna Aircraft Company, Monarch Aviation, Inc., and Bruno Huber, an agent of Monarch.
