Sanders of the River

From Wikisource
Sanders of the River (1911)
by Edgar Wallace

Book 1 in the African (Sanders) Series, a collection of short stories originally published in magazines. A best seller. In 1935 it was adapted into a film with the same name, co-starring Paul Robeson. And, also from Wikipedia comes this titbit: critic David Pringle noted in 1987, "The Sanders Books are not frequently reprinted nowadays, perhaps because of their overt racism".
