Sexual Offences Act
Appearance
- Sexual Offences Act, 1956 (s & 5 Eliz. 2 c. 69), an UK Act of Parliament that criminalizes sexual offences. Mostly repealed by Sexual Offences Act 2003, currently only provisions related to brothel keeping (ss. 33-37 and amended. 2nd Sch.) is kept.
- Sexual Offences Act, 1957 (Act 23 of 1957), an Apartheid-era South African Act that was originally known as the Immorality Act, 1957.
- Sexual Offences Act 1967, an UK Act of Parliament that decriminalizes male homosexuality and created equivalent offences for brothel keeping. Mostly repealed by Sexual Offences Act 2003.
- Sexual Offences Act 1985 (c. 44), an UK Act of Parliament that criminalizes kerb-crawling and soliciting people (formerly women) for prostitution. Repealed in whole by Policing and Crime Act 2009 (c. 26).
- Sexual Offences Act 1993 (c. 30), an UK Act of Parliament that abolishes the common law presumption that a boy under the age of 14 is incapable of sexual intercourse.
- Sexual Offences Act 2003 (c. 42), an UK Act of Parliament that criminalizes sexual offences and provides for restrictions for sex offenders. Replaces much of the provisions of Sexual Offences Act 1956.
