BRASSIERE-GIRDLES

BASIC FEATURES PROVIDED FOR SPIRELLA
BRASSIERE-GIRDLES

Back Lacing
Back Lacing

Back Lacing

A soft lacing extending all the way down in centre back, with eyelets concealed by flat lapels. The Back Lacing enables the client to regulate the tightness or looseness of her garment as may be required. It permits refinements of adjustment producing a smooth fitting from top to bottom.

1 ½ inch even space from top to bottom is allowed in the design for this Basic Feature.

This means that 1½ inches of the size of the garment is taken up by the lacing space.

Partial Back Lacing
Partial Back Lacing

Partial Back Lacing

A soft lacing from waist line down in the centre back. This feature is valuable in regulating the tightness or looseness through the hips and in gaining a little smoother fitting garment below the waist when there is no need of a lacing above the waist.

1½ inch space at the hip line and a 2 inch space at the bottom are allowed in the design for this Basic Feature.

This means that 1½ inches of the hip size of the garment is taken up by the lacing space.

Lace Cup Bust

Lace bust sections in the 1224, 1164, 1367, 1137 and 1337 Series may be substituted for the soft material sections regularly used. When this feature is ordered only the small

sections over the bust proper will be made of lace, with self-material below and between the bust sections.

Plain Top
Plain Top

Plain Top

Plain, straight seamed sections above the waist in the front may be substituted for the cup bust design in the 1224, 1164, 1367, 1137 and 1337 Series. When this feature is ordered the garment will be made as illustrated.

The Plain Top is provided for the client who does not wish to define so clearly the outline of her bust. It affords more room under the bust than in the cup bust design; and is suited to the client with full bust who does not want her breasts raised. It is also preferable for any figure with very scant breast development. This feature will be made in soft material unless otherwise specified. It may be ordered in self-material or lace.

Interchangeable Tops

The upper or brassiere part of one style may be substituted for the upper part of another, within the same series. This Basic Feature cares for the client who may have long lines above the waist with short lines below or vice versa.

Reinforcement
Reinforcement

Order the brassiere-girdle by the style number of the lower or girdle part of the garment and state the style number of the top desired.

Reinforcement

An inside Reinforcement may be substituted for the Inner Belt in the 1164, 1367, 1137 and 1337 Series. This shaped Reinforcement extends across the entire front of the garment, is boned with Spirella and holds snugly to the figure through the pull of the elastic on each side. The Reinforcement feature is recommended only for the more normal figures of the 60 and 30-types.

Cut-Out Back
Cut-Out Back

Cut-Out Back

This feature may be ordered in all brassiere-girdle series. The top of the garment in the back is shaped in a deep V extending from the seam on each side to within 1½ inches from the waist line at centre back. This feature makes the garment suitable for wear with gowns cut low in the back.

The special shaping in the back permits the wearing of a low back brassiere-girdle and at the same time maintains a large degree of support and control to the bust and under arm flesh; the stay at each side of centre back affords a comparatively firm point over which the support of the bust and under arm can be maintained.
