Poetry.

Never Say Fail.

Keep pusing—'tis wiserThan setting aside,And dreaming and sighingAnd waiting the tide;In life's earnest battleThey only prevailWho daily march onwardAnd never say fail.
With an eye ever open,A tongue that's not dumb,And a heart that to sorrowWill never succumb,You'll battle and conquer,Though thousands assail;How strong and how mightlyWho never say fail;
The spirit of angelsIs active, I knowAs higher and higherIn glory they go;Methinks on bright pinionsFrom heaven they sail,To cheer and encourageWho never say fail;
In life's rosy morningIn manhood's firm pride,Let this be your mottoYour footsteps to guide,In storm and in sunshine,Whatever assail,We'll onward and conquer.And never say fail.
