I find this translation a bit peculiar, in that the Italian version I am using (see http://it.wikisource.org/wiki/Discussione:Dei_delitti_e_delle_pene) it mentions that "The death of a citizen cannot be necessary but in two cases," rather than one. In fact, the second case is as follows: “se non quando la di lui morte fosse il vero ed unico freno per distogliere gli altri dal commettere delitti, secondo motivo per cui può credersi giusta e necessaria la pena di morte.” Perhaps some clarification would be helpful. --74.225.255.83 04:01, 21 April 2011 (UTC)
