<nowiki>St. Martha St. Martha is the Patron of Cooks. Her feast day is June 4 in the Orthodox tradition and July 29 in the Roman Catholic tradition.

One of her prayers is, Saint Martha, pray for us that we might serve Jesus better. Help us to overcome our distractions and worries to listen to his words and be present to him this day. Amen.  St. Martha was also known as Wonder Worker of Southern Gual. 

Martha died around circa 80. She was friends with the Sister of Saints Lazarus and Mary of Bethany. She was a friend of Jesus, and hostess to him in her house. She may have been part of an early mission to France.
