Article notes:

  • In the last paragraph where it says, "Connecticut being the last of the needed 36 States to ratify", Tennessee was the 36th state to ratify the amendment. See "Women's suffrage" in Wikipedia. —Mike 11:22, 24 Dec 2004 (UTC)
If Collier's said CT it should stay that way in the text, even if it's factually wrong, but a footnote should probably be added to explain the discrepancy. Eclecticology 18:03, 24 Dec 2004 (UTC)
That was the purpose of adding the note here. But perhaps it would be better to have a "Notes" section below the document source. —Mike 02:59, 27 Dec 2004 (UTC)
Yes. I think that the distinction between the two approaches is a matter of who made the error. I realize that Collier's was only published in the year after the 19th amendment was ratified, but it's always nice to point out where a traditional paper encyclopedia can make mistakes too. :-) Eclecticology 03:12, 27 Dec 2004 (UTC)
