NOTE: This biography includes genealogical and vital statistics belonging to the wrong Christopher Blount. His parents were Sir Thomas Blount and Margery Poley, and he would have been born around 1555/6. He was the cousin of Charles Blount, Lord Mountjoy, and not his brother. This is evidenced by wills and by his own correspondence.
