Talk:Dictionary of National Biography, 1885-1900/Rust, Thomas Cyprian

Although the Dictionary of National Biography gives his name in this form, parish records indicate that he was named Cyprian Thomas Rust, not Thomas Cyprian Rust. --209.16.182.132 02:56, 9 July 2010 (UTC) (Haruo)
- We are transcribing the book, not researching the subject. The text can be used at WP and the correction/commentary would be part of the encyclopaedic article itself. So we are neither agreeing or disagreeing, just transcribing and reproducing. — billinghurst sDrewth 04:23, 9 July 2010 (UTC)
- I would agree with you in that regard, found the obit in The Times and Venn ref for Cambridge, so I have created an author page Author:Cyprian Thomas Rust. — billinghurst sDrewth 05:35, 9 July 2010 (UTC)
- Addendum, and when you really get people distracted, this w:Cyprian Thomas Rust also happens. I hope that you accept full responsibility for this!!! Actually, it would be good if you could go back and check that it flows, and the grammar is okay, and for any wikilinks that can be added. — billinghurst sDrewth 06:56, 9 July 2010 (UTC)

- There is actually an erratum on the name order, in the 1904 Errata volume. Charles Matthews (talk) 08:01, 9 July 2010 (UTC)
