Clement Spelman d 1679 is buried in All Saints Church Narborough, Norfolk. His monument stands on a plinth in the chancel. During Victorian restoration work his plinth was reduced in height and it was discovered that his coffin was stood upright inside. it appears that he insisted on this to avoid being trodden on. i have a photo if needed of this monument
