Notes: | The order was mentioned in the National Tribune (Washington, D.C.), August 29, 1907. This order was apparently given following the marriage of J. Fauntleroy McGill to Grace Collins. The previous order was given because the laws of Panama only recognized Catholic churches; the bride's father thought the term "recognized" was not well enough defined, and Roosevelt issued this order in response. |
