Commencement dates.
[edit]@廣九直通車Could you please add the commencement dates of the act to this page. I'm having some difficulty parsing them myself. ToxicPea (talk) 15:14, 15 February 2025 (UTC)
- @ToxicPea: It's a bit complicated, as the Act was brought into force via multiple commencement orders, and there's a lot of dates with various provisions brought into force, which agencies applied and what repealed at what time will be better. Perhaps I'll look into the issue later?廣九直通車 (talk) 12:55, 17 February 2025 (UTC)
- @ToxicPea: To be honest, it's pretty complicated, but at the end I entered the commencement entries for FOIA 2000 — which pretty much occupied half of my computer screen without scrolling. As a result of the complicatedness, I do believe having texts of commencement orders at here will be much appreciated.廣九直通車 (talk) 07:54, 3 March 2025 (UTC)
- @廣九直通車 I noticed that The Freedom of Information Act 2000 (Commencement No. 4) Order 2004 isn't cited anywhere in the commencement dates. Is it because it's essentially mooted by The Freedom of Information Act 2000 (Commencement No. 5) Order 2004 or did you just forget to add it? ToxicPea (talk) 03:15, 7 March 2025 (UTC)
