The original appearance in The Cambridge Review (21 May 1891) is available at Google Books. It is there prefaced with the observation "There is some good Tennis being played at Lambert's court in the East Road this week. On Tuesday, Lambert played Harradine and was beaten by three sets to two. To-day "Ted" plays C. Lambert, of Hatfield, and professional English Champion. On Monday Sanders will play Geo. Lambert. It was the first of these matches that inspired the following lines:"
