[edit]If I'm not wrong this is the 1898 abridged version by Whinfield. This should appear somewhere. Or is it understood that everyone can improve the translation at will? 67.173.156.240 06:00, 4 February 2006 (UTC)
- Are you certain that it is that edition? If you have a complete version this should be moved to Masnavi I Ma'navi (1898) with the other version added under its date of translation.--BirgitteSB 20:46, 30 April 2007 (UTC)
Book I was first translated into English by Sir James Redhouse, sometime before 1909. The second book was then translated by C. E. Wilson (BA) of London, professor of Persian, also pre-1909. Sherurcij Collaboration of the Week: Author:Captain Cook 22:08, 23 August 2007 (UTC)
