Which edition is this?

[edit]

Is this supposed to be the original Constitution, or some specific later edition after changes? Wikisource does not maintain dynamic documents. --EncycloPetey (talk) 02:32, 2 March 2018 (UTC)Reply

I have uploaded several relevant documents to commons:category:constitution of New Mexico. There is also a source URL: https://newmexicohistory.org/2015/07/22/new-mexicos-first-constitution-1850 Arlo Barnes (talk) 21:16, 17 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
But is that the same edition as this edition? Having resources is great, but the question is which edition of the New Mexico Constitution do we currently have? Which published edition matches the copy we currently are hosting, in terms of content, spelling, and formatting? Also, please note that the newmexicohistory URL you've provided is useless for Wikisource purposes. It is a secondhand transcription, and not an original publication. --EncycloPetey (talk) 23:20, 17 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
I'm aware, but I thought it could help us rule in or out versions based on any variance in the text. Perhaps a /1889 or /Draft subpage could be used for transcluding index:New Mexico draft constitution 1889.pdf once proofread as a baseline since it is the earliest version with an associated scan. First, please do not edit other people's comments. That is a never acceptable. Second, no, we would not create different versions as subpages, but we would create them as disambiguated pages in their own right, if we had a source. --EncycloPetey (talk) 12:30, 26 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
