Hi i am at presentmaking a model of the Catalpa, last year 2014 i visited the New Bedford whaling station while staying with my daughter in bolton. i have also compiled a short story of the history of the catalpa. but i am missing some facts that i cannot find online.1/ the launch of the Catalpa as a merchant bark but where? 2/ what was the ships figurehead? 3/ i know it ended its life in the British bahamas Belize port as a coal hualk but what year was its demise? if you could help me with this information i would be in grtitude to you thankyou mike loring.86.41.65.6 14:21, 24 December 2014 (UTC)
