The basis for this text is a text-file (OCR from the first edition) downloaded here. This file was proofread against the first edition in one of three forms, depending on my circumstances at the moment (1) a photocopy in my possession (original at Honnold Library, Claremont, California), (2) The Google Books copy mentioned above (original at University of Michigan), and (3) The archive.org copy (original at the Bancroft Library).
