web-publications of these lyrics often have "Ensign Terrace" instead of the real street "Anson Terrace". This is common in oral transmission (another Liverpool song, Maggie May refers to Canning Place, which is often misrecorded - and sung - as "Cannon Place"), but the actual street name should normally be used.
