Directory?

[edit]

Is it possible to employ a directory for each subsection as opposed to the current set up involving adding a new page? It would make linking in the headers much easier.

Please reply. I would especially like to hear from the page creator/creation team.

Thanks

The cureent set-up is incorrect. I will fix it to use subpages. --BirgitteSB 02:15, 24 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

Incomplete headings

[edit]

Various chapters have incomplete headings. For one thing, they are not marked-up, being set in all-caps. For another, some headings are completely missing. Also, I have some doubts that the body text is complete. --Dan Polansky 11:10, 29 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Source of the Text

[edit]

Whatever the source of the text, BBC Evolution Weekend - The Origin of Species Online seems to have the same edition of the text. --Dan Polansky 13:15, 29 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

I have added one edition. --Dan Polansky (talk) 12:02, 27 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

Outlines

[edit]

I have started adding outlines to individual chapters, following the original editions. The outlines cannot be replaced with mere tables of contents generated by the wiki software: The outlines consist of titles different from those actually used as section headings. --Dan Polansky (talk) 12:11, 27 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

I've transformed the text into PR-Format and corrected it (following the original 1872/3 edition, Index:Origin of Species 1872.djvu), --D.H (talk) 12:15, 8 January 2011 (UTC)Reply
