Notes: | bibliographic entry and links to library holdings can be found at OCLC:19175779all editions, however the discussion below on "OCLC 19175779" indicates this bib entry isnt accurate. |

[edit]Is this book the same as OCLC:19175779all editions; the year is the same, but the title and authors are different. It does not mention "Margaretta V. Faugeres" as an author. Strangely it lists "Maria Kittle" as an author, so it could be that the WorldCat entry is inaccurate. Is it possible for you to scan/upload the cover and/or a page that mentions Margaretta V. Faugeres as an author? If so, please upload them onto the commons: commons:Special:Upload. We can then include the image as part of this page. Cheers, John Vandenberg 03:35, 18 August 2007 (UTC)
- "Maria Kittle" is a fictional character. See w:Ann_Eliza_Bleecker#Maria_Kittle and the cite that section of the article references. So in my view the OCLC has the incorrect authors. I would love to find a copy of Bleecker's epistolary novel "The History of Maria Kittle" to copy here. So far I have only found excerpts. - Epousesquecido 14:35, 18 August 2007 (UTC)
- Scan of title page found, uploaded to Commons with attribution, and transcluded from this page. It clearly shows Margaretta's place (as author of essays and other material included) in this work, and has no mention of Maria Kittle. The source attributing "Maria Kittle" as author is flawed. The table of contents page, later in the same PDF scan, shows clearly that Maria Kittle is the lead character of the first story. However it also reveals some discrepancies in how capitalization was recorded, the TOC has differing capitalization than the chapter titles and the titles at the top of the pages in the chapters.
