[edit]I'm not sure which version is the correct version. I've googled for both, and found results. Several versions use "fancy", and several others use "sad soul". Does anyone have a hard copy to compare? Jude (talk, contribs, email) 09:19, 19 June 2006 (UTC)
All the versions I've ever seen use "my sad fancy".
Source should be exactly noted
[edit]Which edition is used? (Publisher, year. etc) --84.62.255.181 21:15, 1 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit]It says that the second illustration by Gustave Doré was drawn in 1884. That can't be true, because Doré died in 1883.
- It doesn't seem to say that at all. 1884 must be the publication date. I'll look into it and see what I can find. --Midnightdreary (talk) 01:47, 16 December 2008 (UTC)
- From w:The Raven: "The Raven" was published independently with lavish woodcuts by Gustave Doré in 1884 (New York: Harper & Brothers). Doré died before its publication. --Midnightdreary (talk) 15:17, 16 December 2008 (UTC)
