It is okay to find an original source out of copyright and type it in and post it on the internet. It is not okay to copy an edited version of an original source and post it on the internet, whether or not attribution is provided (and in this case it was not). The editing process introduces qualitative additions in the form of formatting, abbreviation, correction, and annotation to the original which makes it new and copyrighted material. The original edited version that was here was published in the SOAS Bulletin of Burma Research and on SOAS eprints [1] with copyright notice included in the pdf file. This file has been made available online freely through archive.org. If you chose to repost this source, please type in your own copy from the original source and do your own editing. Even a quick scan of the sentence alignment in the original 4 March 2007 posting and comparison with the original pdf suggests that nothing has been done here save for copy and paste.
