This is a completely biased and ridiculas editorial in the wikipedia. I urge those who read this to take it with a grain of salt and realize that people who use corsets do so without regard to religion. I am an avid corset wearer, I have 8 healthy children and a wonderful marriage and I am not disformed or unhealthy in any way. I am however slender, non obese and live a happy and fullfilled life. Common sense is the key to wearing a corset and to have someone claim they are evil is not only insulting it's absolutely unfounded. And whoever said Christianity has labeled Corsetry as evil may want to learn to read the bible before claiming Christ had anything to do with labeling it as such. Absolutely one of the most revulting idea's I've ever read.

This author was a complete idiot who apparently didn't get enough oxygen to HIS brain. unsigned comment by 75.107.225.5 (talk) 10:56, 6 June 2008 (UTC).Reply

Hi. The thing is, this isn't an editorial we've endorsed, or anything like that. It's just a text that's in the public domain, and so is being hosted here per our inclusion policy. That doesn't mean that Wikisource or its editors agree or disagree with its content, nor are you required to. giggy (:O) 11:19, 6 June 2008 (UTC)Reply
This text is the in the list of literature about corset. This text is typical of that era.POK 22:03, 9 June 2008 (UTC)
